Download Problem

When I try to download Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4,
I get message "access denied, code 5"

Please Help
 
There are several places to download Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4.

Google it and pick another download site.

Thanks "bullwinkle", but this did not work. I downloaded from three

different sources and got the same error message.
Does anyone know of a "FIX" for "error code 5" ??

Chances are that your system is infected with spyware/malware that won't let
you download spyware/malware removal programs like Spybot, Ad Aware, MS
Defender, etc. Some crap is just really nasty like this.

Lets see if we can get some information to disect...
Get Process Explorer:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html
Download it, unzip it, run it, then do a File -> Save As... saving the file
somewhere where you can get to it.

Open the text file and post it's contents back here. This way we can see if
something is running that isn't supossed to be.

PROBLEM SOLVED
My "Spycatcher" program had quarantined two Spybot.exe files which prevented
SPYBOT from downloading. SPYBOT now installed and running OK.

Good to hear. Although I find it ironic that one spyware program quarantined
another...
