I was downloading some shareware games yesterday and did not notice my hard
drive was almost full (maybe ran out). Since then my system is running like
crap . I deleted a lot of temp file and made about 2 gb of free space .I
also ran defrag , but the win xp seems slower than usual . Even my mouse is
irritable . Is there a site or a system checker to see if I lost any files?

Maybe your new files had some spyware/Trojans included for
free.

Do two immediate things.
1. get spyware detection software and use it. A number of products
available, most free. Ad-aware from Lavasoft is popular.
2. ensure your virus detection software is working and that you have
checked the file(s) you downloaded and the entire machine.

|So how do I know if I got screwed .?? I'm using xp pro .

Search for, download, install, update and run Adaware and Spybot.
