Download Manager for Flashgot

I like "Flashgot" extension for the Fox. The Flashgot site shows a
variety of download mamngers that are compatable. I tried "Fresh
download" but discovered after a certain time I have to get a new key
for it. Annoying for a good program so I think I shall try another. The
freewware choices have me down to Free download manager, GetRight (No
review and direct download from Flashgot) and Star Downloader.

Star looks good but would prefer to hear from you members as to
preferances.

New key ?? Bullshit. All you do is re-enter the same key you used the
first time.

But then I suppose *some* people don't keep the keys to their software.
And then the software sucks ?

Yes I use FDM. Simple to use and no spy/adware either!

Excellent piece of software!

It must be nice to critisize those you don't know. I have the key but
why bother, if this manager is no better then one that don't require a
consistant demand to re-enter the key.

It's not what I asked, so why do you bother coming up with this BS.

All I said was ....... you don't need to get a new key. You said it was a
good program, but now you HAD to try a different one.

Every 300 days ..... and re-enter your original key, whats wrong with
that ?

And re-reading your original post, you asked for opinions on 3 other
downloaders simply because Fresh Download (a good program, your quote)
needed the key re-entered. lol

And the only cticism I made was of people who register a program and then
don't keep their registration keys ..... you seem to have taken offense
to this so I suppose you are in this camp.

I use it with Net Transport 1.87 and I am very pleased with it. Better than
Star, Leechget, even better than GetRight.

All I said was ....... you don't need to get a new key. You said
it was a good program, but now you HAD to try a different one.

YOU assumed I didn't keep the key because you misunderstood and I mis
represented "New". I meant re-enter the key. My fresh download asked
to download a "new key" after 24 days. Far less from 300 days nor
suggestion to use the original key.

You seem to be able to insult people without realy trying. You may
ask yourself why, you are the only one responded as an insult only.

Perhaps someday you'll understand my signature. Meanwhile, you may
not realize how your supposed insult backfires! Perhaps someday you
will contemplate reading a book with hardcovers.

I just discovered "Flashgot" is not compatable for my FF 1.0.1. I did
an extension update and the extension page indicates it's no longer
available or not compatable.

Will Net Transport run without Flashgot?

No idea. Definitely not the same way. An alternative to Flashgot is
Downloadwith, but it is much more basic.

Not so bad that way either. Thanks! I may give it a shot when my server
gets unclogged.
