Download Installation Failure

I received an automatic download over a week ago and it will not install. No
explination as to why.

The download is: Security Update for Microsoft .Net Framework, Version 2.0
(KB917283)

Anybody know how to delete it or get it to install?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From a previous post:

Uninstall Microsoft .Net Frame 2 from your system

Run cleanup_tool.exe
(http://astebner.sts.winisp.net/Tools/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip)

Reboot computer

Install Microsoft .Net Frame 2 (download first and install from computer)

Install KB917283-X86 patch (download first and install from computer)

Reboot computer
