Download HELP!!!

Ok, I know that ME is dead but until I get another computer or upgrade I have
to live with it.

The computer will download nothing. I updated all the critical updates and
some of the non-critical undates and it use to download PDF files and now
nothing.

I have tried everything that I know to resolve this problem. Repeat - I am
unable to get rid of ME so don't give that advice. I stopped doing PDF files
after I upgraded to IE 6 so I went to the adobe reader 6.02 and ask for any
updates which it did. Then still nothing. I rebooted 3 times and everhthing
is still the same.

I have scanned for viruses and I have 2 programs on my computer I cannot get
rid of. One is eUniverse and the other is Gator.Gain. I have two spyware
checkers on my machine and one says it is still there and the other says it
is not. I don't believe it is connect to this problem because I have had
them for years and I could still download. I am also unable to reformat my
hard drive at this time.

Please help me!
