"...you may not have appropriate permissions....".

Funny thing is, this just started recently. SAVING the download works fine;
it just won't allow me to OPEN/RUN a download. And I had admin rights (my
own pc) and I am virus/spyware free.

Windows XP HOME, IE 7.0.

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so I started here.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Not a biggied, but frustrating, nonetheless.

Thanks!

What program are you trying to run? Is it an Active-X control, installer, a
script? Security options may be set to prevent such programs from running on
your machine.

Hi, Mark...

This is for ANY program that I download and try to OPEN/RUN. My security
options seem to be set fine, as this was never a problem until recently.
Next up - disabling all on-adds to IE 7.0, and then activating one by one
until I find the one causing me problems, if this is even the case.

Any comments?

Thanks!

Andy

Well, I should have checked this from the start - I have determined that this
is an issue with my firewall - ZONEALARM PRO, so I am contacting them.

Thanks for the help!

:

Ahh yes. I didn't consider a firewall. Glad to help.

Well, Mark, turns out it WAS the firewall - corrupted ZA db. How it got
corrupted? I'm being told this happens sometimes when upgrading. I upgraded
to 7.0 some time ago, so who knows? I had to boot in SAFE MODE and delete
the db and start a new one, so I will have to reply "allow" to a bunch of
messages again. BUT...it's fixed....finally.

Thanks again!
