Downgrade to XP

Hello -
I was wondering if there is a way to "downgrade" from RC1 to my previous XP
install, keeping all my docs etc.

There is no way to "downgrade" Windows Vista to Windows XP.
A "clean install" of Windows XP is required.

I won't even ask why you were keeping important files in a pre-release
version of Windows. Can't you copy your files to intermediate storage and
then bring them back after reinstalling XP?

Set your BIOS to boot from the CD/DVD drive and boot from the XP CD.

| how would i do this 'clean install" would it require for the xp disk to be
| inserted. because when i do this vista won't allow me to install it.
