"doubleclick" (spyware) removal?

I recently have downloaded Spybot S&D and Ad-aware. I've cleaned up my
hardrive yet every time I open my webrowser I get the following message:
"Spybot S&D has blocked the dounload of "DoubleClick"!

How can I get rid of DoubleClick??? Is it some kind of spyware? Thank you
for your help.

In a word "hmmmmm" . They place a cookie on your computer. So disable
cookies and that will prevent you from getting it. DoubleClick prefer to see
themselves as assets to both business and consumer with respect to targeted
marketing. Read more about them here
http://www.doubleclick.com/us/about_doubleclick/privacy/ They have an
"Opt-Out" program. However I can't say how well it works. You might want to
try using a tool like this Spyware Blaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html or a Hosts file like the
one you can easily create with this tool
http://www.ngweb.biz/resources/hostsedit/ to minimize the effects of sites
that distribute doubleclick.

Hi Harry,

I don't think that is the case here......based on many things. That said,
"other than who knows", this is not normal.

DoubleClick is definitely considered spyware. You have the browser helper
to stop bad downloads turned on in Spybot.
That setting is adjustable. It has been my experience that Spybot blocks
doubleclick almost everytime I open a Yahoo! page. Have you set Yahoo! as
your homepage in your browser? If so, you might want to think about
changing it.

In your own words
"Spybot S&D has blocked the dounload of "DoubleClick"!
So it is not on your system!
Just configure Spybot to stop the downloads without notification.

I have similar problem with this cookie along with another one, "liveperson".
Although I scanned and removed them using Spyware Blocker, they reappear the
moment I start browsing. I use Spy Audit to monitor these "parasites", and I
don't know how to remove them from there.
How about liveperson cooke what is it for?
Thanks in advance.
