For no apparent reason, my taskbar is twice as high now
and I cannot figure out how to reduce it. It's the
equivilent of two task bars high, but nothing is
duplicated. I can't resize it. The "in use" icons on
the right are stacked on top of each other, instead of
side-by-side, if that helps.

How can I get it back to it's original one-line size?

Right click on it and make sure it is not locked, then hover the mouse over
the top edge and drag it down to a single size. Then be sure to lock it
again.

Hi Jerry,

R-click inside the taskbar and unlock it, if it's locked. Move the cursor
slowly across the top edge of the taskbar until you see it turn to a double
headed arrow, click and drag the taskbar down to it's normal size and them
re-lock it.
