double spacing

Word 2007 - apparently the default is set to double spacing - I can change it
within the document but then when I start a new document it is double spacing
also. There must be a way to set the default to always single space but I
don't know where it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so
much!

I am not sure as I have Word 2003, but I would think you could change the
NORMAL.DOT template to the setting you want and save it
