If it's a discontinued HP printer, HP decided it wasn't economically viable
for them to re-write drivers for these printers. Microsoft included drivers
on the XP CD that mean you can still print, but may not have all the
features you were used to.
Try the software at www.fineprint.com. It will enable you to regain the
ability to duplex print (the correct terminology).
