I just reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled MS XP
Home Ed using the disks that came with my laptop. Now
during bootup the system stops and asks which operating
system I want to use and gives me double Windows XP
options. What can I do to delete one of the options. I
am better than average computer literate & experienced,
however I have not had this come up yet. I appreciate
any help received. Thanks!

Hi Cathy,

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig
Then go to the Boot.ini Tab and click on Check All Boot Paths. If you
receive a warning about a duplicate path: Do you want to remove, choose
yes.

Or...

Right click the My Computer icon/Properties/Advanced/Startup and
Recovery/Settings/System Startup/Edit.
