Double clicks no longer do the trick

I used to double click a folder and it opened but now,
whenever I do it, a search window opens...How can I
change this???

Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

Start | Run | Regedit

For Folders
Navigate to Hkey_Classes_Root\Directory\shell
Right click on “Default” in the right pane | Modify
In the Value Data field type in “none” without the quotes
Click ok
