Double clicking --> Reply Window in Outlook Express

Usually, when I double clicked on a message in my inbox,
a new reply window popped up. Now, after pressing
something by accident (which I of course don't know
what), a double click only brings up a viewing pane of
the message in a new window. How do I switch back to
getting a double click to open a reply window?
