dot printer problem

Hi,

We have a problem with our dot (matric) printer Epson DFX-8500.
Under Windows XP when it prints A3 format file in character mode, it cuts
lines.
If we print in file everything looks OK, but if we print it on paper, it
turns out that lines are cut at cca. 3/4 of length.

Does anyone know solution to this problem?
Are there other drivers capable of character mode printing other than one
provided with windows XP?

The paper size is probably defaulted to Letter/A4. Right click on the
printer icon and select Printing Preferences. Set the paper size as
needed.
