I cant seem to get any of my DOS based games (OLD SCHOOL
GAMES) To work on XP. I don't think XP even has DOS only
command prompt. I just need to know where I candownload
DOS and what version to get so I don't harm XP. Thanks

Have you tried the Program Compatibility Wizard? You'll find it under
Accessories.

Yes I have used Compatability wizard. I actually have one
program that does work with DOS I just noticed. But all
others like F22 and some other games will not work. So If
I run MsConfig and tun off the Motherboard Monitor it
will work? Thanks for the help... I might tr the Mother
Board Monitor and some different settings under
compatability.

First, even before asking any questions of you, get VDMSound.

Second... What games? Some do work, some don't - personal experience is that
there are more of the ones that do than don't.

I've had two personally that don't (Subwar 2050 and X-com, the second due to
some video issues.) I've also heard often enough that Under a Killing Moon
doesn't work, with detail enough to believe it as a general rule.

Like I've said, though, I have several (not counting text-only, like the
original Zork) that do work - Syndicate, for starters. (Haven't gotten to
reloading them on this system.)

And no, there's no "dos only" in XP. There's no DOS in XP.

First there is F-22 Lightning 2... I have not tested it
uncer compatability but It didn't work on my grandmals
computer a while back. The game I'm trying to get is
Teminator Rampage or somthing like that... But I have
this program I'm going to try...called MultiBoot. I saw
it in one of the other posts.
