I run Quicken for DOS under Windows XP-SP2, but cannot get it to start up
full screen. Once it starts, ALT-ENTER makes it full screen. I have
experimented with all the Fonts and settings. I run it in Windows 95
emulation mode 640 by 800. It worked full screen from the shortcut in the
original XP. Any ideas?

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > select "Command Prompt" > right click
it, choose "Properties > Options (Tab) > under Display Options, select "Full
Screen" then press OK.

Alex,

It depends upon what type of shortcut you have.

Right-click on the shortcut and select properties. In the properties dialog
box for the shortcut there are three tabs. Select the shortcut tab at the
top of the dialog box. Just below the middle of the box there should be a
dropdown selection for "Run:" Select "maximized", click Apply and OK. The
program should start maximized.

If you have multiple shortcuts to the same executable (program) you may have
to do this for each shortcut.

OR:

Right-click on the shortcut and select properties. In the properties dialog
box for the shortcut there are seven tabs. Select the shortcut tab at the
top of the dialog box. Just below the middle of the box there should be a
dropdown selection for "Run:" Select "maximized", click Apply and OK.

Then Right-click on the shortcut again and select properties. In the
properties dialog box for the shortcut there are seven tabs. Select the
options tab at the top of the dialog box. On the right there should be an
Display Option section to select "window" or "full screen". Select "full
screen", click Apply and OK. The program should start maximized.

If you have multiple shortcuts to the same executable (program) you may have
to do this for each shortcut.

ALTERNATEVLY:

If the steps above do not work, placing the /max switch after the shortcut
patch may open the program maximized. Be sure to put a space before the
/max switch.
