Windows Me if I can remember correctly.. it was hidden somehow...
They changed something with dos on Me...

cant remember much because I tried to avoid Me as much as possible...
and never was much of a games fan.. so i didnt care much about dos
compatibility.

Me bad quality... the same crappy quality vista has. As I say.. Vista is the
Me of NT :-)

For a user who has been 'duped' by Windows for so many years, you seem to
upgrade to latest versions with the least hesitation.

Hi,
Is it possible to execute an older Dos-program on Vista and if yes
how?
As others have already posted, you can run some (most?) older DOS
programs under Vista, but there are a couple of things to consider.
One, you have to be running a 32-bit version of Vista since the 64-bit
versions do not include support for 16-bit / DOS programs. Two, Vista
doesn't support full-screen command prompt / DOS programs, but you can
usually get close if you fiddle with the font size.

As to how to run it, it depends on the program. Generally, you would
install it just like you would in DOS and either run it from a command
prompt or create a shortcut to the program and run it that way.

Dave

Where did you get that idea? I have never been duped by windows....

Not in the past not now and for sure not in the future either.

thanks all,
i succeeded start running it after setting not fullscren & after starting it
as administrator.

next question:
-i setted the same configuration on Vista and as said it is working fine.
-now i try to acces via the network the related file on ME, it starts but it
cannot find a file to progrees

Why is the related file found on vista and once accessing via the network it
does not find the file to progress?
