'Ipconfig' not recognized as internal command....

when I enter ipconfig command at the DOS prompt I would
get 'ipconfig' not recognized as internal or external
command, operable program or batch file (inside
Win2000Pro).

Hi

If Ipconfig.exe doesn't work from a command prompt, you most likely have a
corrupted path...

Take a look here (most likely the Reg_Expand_Sz vs. Reg_Sz type setting in
registry):
