XP isn't designed to run DOS programs. Even if you get
them to run, you WILL run into problems later. My
suggestion...Find another program that will replace your
DOS application or use Win98

CAN'T GET A DOS PROGRAM TO WORK CORRECTLY ON XP.
ANY SUGGESTIONS

The first suggestion would be to identify the DOS program; the second would
be the nature of the problem. 'Not working correctly' is a bit vague.

Some DOS programs will not work in XP without some compatibility
adjustments. Some, which mostly are those that directly address hardware,
cannot work in XP at all.

Some DOS programs won't work "correctly" not because of XP, but because of
modern printers that don't support DOS. Yes, the printer has to support
DOS as well, and fewer and fewer do. If you connect the printer via USB,
you can pretty much be sure that it will not work with the DOS program.

Some DOS programs require printing to get past certain points (some
accounting packages did this). The program may run under XP, but not
print.. and hence be unusable. If that's the case, you need to find a
printer that DOES support DOS printing via a parallel port.

However, as I said, it's hard to say without some details.
