Don't want windows to Maximize anymore!!!

Help!!

I tried a technique someone suggested to have all windows maximize......open
one window, right click task bar, and select Tile Windows Horizontally. It
worked too well, now I want it to stop!! It maximizes
EVERYTHING.....including windows I want kept the same size. Any ideas? Can
this be done selectively, only maximizing certain windows?

Help!!
 
Doubleclick the titlebar of any window to change from max to windowed, and
back.

Rightclick the taskbar, and choose "Cascade" to window them all
