DOMAIN USERS ACOUNT LOCK

Hi ,
one of my domain users getting his account locked out every 10 to 15 minutes
!! then I have to go and remove the lock form his account in the Active
Directory.

What is the reason behind this ?

please help.

Hi,

It's tricky to say straight off, exactly why an account is getting locked so
regularly. It might be worth auditing failed logon attempts to track down
where the account is trying to be used from.

Hopefully, that will give you a starting point.

Most likely the user is logged on someplace and changed his password
and forgot all about that other session.

Get Microsoft's Account Lockout Tools.

Use the included eventcomb tool to do the canned "lock out" search. The
results will tell you where (the ip address) the user's bad password
attempts are coming from.
