Domain User Account Lockouts

Hi,

A few of our users are experiencing odd problems with
Account Lockouts..

User is working on her workstation, she then leaves and
goes for a smoke break. When she returns, Ctrl-Alt-Del to
login and is notified that her account is now locked.

Other problem: Another user shuts down his workstation
everyday before he leaves for home. When he comes back to
work the next day, he boots up his workstation, tries to
login, and is notified that his account has been locked.

Attempts at solving:
Recreated user profile on local workstation.
Checked user account properties on DC.
I haven't recreated the user account on the DC because I
don't see any possible cause there. I could be wrong.

First one is easy to answer. Go into the screen saver tab and uncheck the
box that says on resume password protect. Because everytime her screen
saver kicks in it locks the computer. Same as a password protect for screen
saver under win98 just new wording and new login box. Second, are you using
windows 98 on the machine that gets locked out? If so there is a known
issue with 95, 98, 98se causing accounts on a windows 2000 and 2003 to get
locked out. No fixes or work around, just logon to server and unlock
account every time it happens. So now were upgrading to all 2000 and xp
machines. None of those machines ever experience that problem.

Hi Jeremy,

I will try removing resume password protect on her
machine..

As for the 2nd issue, all users are using Windows XP
Professional..

Any Ideas..
