Domain Server will not sychronize

On a W2K AD domain I have a BDC that will not sychronize
with the PDC. From server manager the error is "Access
Denied". The only other symtom of a problem is in the
directory service event log.

It may be due to this server trying to use the user
account for an NT 4 BDC I tried to add a month ago. I
never got past the network setup screen due to an error
creating the new computer account even though it
apparently did create the account.

Error from directory service event log below:
The attempt to establish a replication link with parameters

Partition: CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=Rimage,DC=com
Source DSA DN: CN=NTDS
Settings,CN=EDNT7,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-
Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=Rimage,DC=com
Source DSA Address: 252693f2-19ec-4bfb-97a6-
8e72e08c157b._msdcs.Rimage.com
Inter-site Transport (if any):

failed with the following status:

There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint
mapper.

The record data is the status code. This operation will
be retried.

0. Hey the PDC and BDC concept Microsoft got rid of with Windows 2000.
So it gets a lil confusing when someone says they have a BDC (a BDC
would be a WinNT4 DC). Im going to go with the assumption: both are
Windows 2000 Servers. You still have a PDC but thats really a role
assigned to a DC and is called the PDC Emulator. All other DC in this
Windows 2000 AD/Windows 2003 AD domain are Additional DCs or just DCs.
No PDCs no BDCs.

1. And on top of your post you say you get an "access denied" and in
the paste of the event log says "no more end point mappers available".
What are we troubleshooting? Or are we getting both these errors!

2. Sitting on the PDC Emulator, open AD Sites and Services
(dssite.msc) and explore down to NTDS Settings for DC2. Right hand
side of the pane, do a right click and select "Replicate Now". What is
the error message you get here. You probably will get some sort of
message which could be more useful in tshooting

3. I've solved "End Point Mappers" by simply rebooting the box or
following a very comprehesive article on MS.com:

Going on the opposite note to Gautam, if you do indeed have NT (4) BDCs,
simply delete the computer object and recreate it. You can still use
SRVMGR.exe if you like...
