Domain Machine names

In Windows xp the comment(computer description) is
appended to the machine name when observing the network.
I would like to remove all of the comment so that all
that is displayed is the machine name. Is this possible.
 
This should work.
1. Right click my computer.
2. Select Properties from the pull down.
3. Select the Computer Name tab.
4. remove the text from the Computer descrition field, and click Ok.
