domain logon on workgroup XP PC

I manage some PCs in a workgroup with only local accounts. Can these PCs be
setup to allow logon to the domain my company has?

Sure, why not? You will retain your local accounts when you join the
workstation to the domain and will have a choice at logon of the domain
or "This Computer" - the local accounts.

A user in any version of XP can potentially access domain resources as long
as there is a domain account that exists that the user knows the
logon/password for and that can even match their local logon/password.
However only XP Pro computers can "join" a domain and then be able to be
managed centrally and have Group Policy applied to the user and
mputer. --- Steve
