Domain Logon Errors

Hi All

I am getting a lot of these errors in event viewer and
nobody can logon from the machine. I have tried
resetting the account for the computer(s) but no luck.
Has anyone seen this or know of a fix?

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5722
Date: 6/30/2004
Time: 2:41:10 PM
User: N/A
Computer: DOMAINCONTROLLER
Description:
The session setup from the computer <COMPUTER> failed to
authenticate. The name of the account referenced in the
security database is <COMPUTER$>. The following error
occurred:
Access is denied.
Data:
0000: 22 00 00 c0

Any help would be great,

Delete the Computer Account. Then, try to remove and
reattach the computer to the Domain. It sounds like an
ACL/permissions problem with the computer object.

That's a little drastic and unnecessary! There's no need to *do* anything.

This is being logged because a machine was turned off at the time it would
have normally reset it's secure channel password. When the machine next
logged on, it tried to use the password that had expired - the DC reset the
password and logged this error. If you have several, you should note that
they only occur once per machine. If you turn computers off for the
weekend, or have mobile users, etc. this happens. I wouldn't worry about
this.

I see this loads in the large environments that I deal with.
