If my system is in Domain then the type of logon is called Domain logon

local logon only deals with Stand alone systems !

if i m wrong please anyone do correct me !

Within a domain there's usually resources like printers, shares etc. If you
logon to a domain you can access the resources within the domain if you have
sufficient permissions. If you logon locally, you only have access to the
local resources attached to your computer.

If you log on to the Domain, then the logon is authenticated centrally, by
one of the domain controller servers. You may then be able to access shared
resources (printers, network directories etc).

If you log on locally (the only option if your computer is not a member of a
domain, but also possible if it is in a domain) then the logon is
authenticated by your local machine.
