Domain Lander Page attached to homepage

For some reason, a domain lander page has attached itself
to my homepage. When I start up IE, I automatically get
routed via a lander page and told that my homepage (which
is set to Google) cannot be found. It seems to intercept
all pages I try and browse, and take me to a specially
designed site I don't want to be on!

Does anyone know how I can remove the lander page?

I think you've possibly gotten the Qhosts Trojan onboard the PC.

Reverse the changes that were made to the Hosts file.
