i recently restore a domain controller from a previous backup and used the
authoritative restore to update the sequence numbers for the objects in the
domain....the problem now is that the other domain controller in the other
site isn't recieving the updates from server1 in siteA. i get the following
error in the event log upon reboot an an hour or so later the error is still
apparent...

The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from
SWA-SRV-DC to EXE-SRV-DC for c:\winnt\sysvol\domain using the DNS name
SWA-SRV-DC.inquery.corp. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.
[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name SWA-SRV-DC.inquery.corp from
this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on SWA-SRV-DC.inquery.corp.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has
not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.
This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem
is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the
connection has been established.

0000: 21 07 00 00 !...
the two sites are exeter and swansea whilst the server names are exe-srv-dc
and swa-srv-dc. when i use the ntdsutil to change the schema master role i
get the error that access is denied. when i try to transfer the other roles
from the MMC i get the server is offline....
ANY HELP would be much appreciative. Thank you.
