Domain access and webcam

Ok here comes a fun one for you all.



It is great having a demanding boss, he just set me a really good challenge
that I have no idea how to approach. He wants all the remote users that
connect to us to only be able to do so if they have a webcam installed and
working... any one got any idea how I can tie this into the Windows or
terminal services log in?

I'm not sure this is the best forum to get an answer to that question,
Nigel. We focus on Microsoft Access questions here. I guess there must be an
API that can detect the presence of a web cam, as instant messaging apps
seem to be able to detect them. You might want to try asking about that in a
forum that deals with such things. Alternatively, you could try pointing out
to your boss that, while it may be possible to detect the presence or
absence of a web cam, there is probably no programmatic way of detecting
whether said web cam is pointed at the user, or pointed at the ceiling,
floor, wall or whatever. Possibly the problem might just go away after your
boss has thought about that for a bit.
