Doing dumps on most startups

My Win200 computers has just decided to do kernel message dumps on
most (but strangely not all) startups. I installed the latest bug
removing tool from Microsoft a day or two ago. Any ideas?

To be able to see the blue screen stop message; Control
Panel|System|Advanced|Startup and Recovery, I usually like to uncheck
"Automatically reboot" this way you get a chance to read the stop error.

Thanks, Dave,

Have now done that, which should help. I wonder why MS never thought
of producing a manual.
