My problem is with deleting partitions. I am trying
to format another hard drive which has windows 2000 on it
and has some virus in it. I am using a win98 boot disk
and was able to delete some partitions. It says there is
one extended DOS partition . When I try to delete it, it
says extended partition cant be deleted when there is a
logical partition/drive in it. When i say delete the
logical partition/drive, it says no logical drives are
defined. Please help about this.

ALSo, I have 80 GB hard drive. How can i format my C
drive to be 10 Gb while making a DOS partitions. Its
making a very small partitions. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

The link Pegasus gave me to delete an NTFS drive is not

NTFS drive. IF so, please tell me what is is and where I
can fidn it. Thankyou very much.

Why don't you download the program from the manufacturer of the hard disk
off the Internet and use that?

98 fdisk cannot delete extended partitions w/ logical NTFS volumes
within it. To delete those types of partitions, download delpart.exe
from www.microsoft.com. It can blow away any Microsoft file
system/partition. Once you removed all partitions, you can go back to
fdisk to create an active primary partition, then format it w/
format.exe
