Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a bad situation as I have deleted my .pst
files from "C:\Documents and Settings\verge-ill\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft"

Now I no longer have any of my contacts, old emails,
folders or calender. Of course I am a dumb ass for doing
this in the first place. I was hoping that windows xp pro
cached the file somewhere, and that it might be
recoverable. Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Virgil

Have you looked in the Recycle bin? If it's not there, then as long as you
hve not used the machine and not defragged, then you MIGHT be able to
recover it with an Undelete program. Otherwise, I hope you have a backup.
Haven't you?

You could try a system restore to a point before you deleted the file.

Data files are not affected by System restore - therefore this doesn't work
AFAIK.....

Please help!

Unfortunately, I have to say I'm afraid you're stuffed. :-(

If the file is not in your Recycle Bin, I would suggest that you get an
undelete program as quickly as possible (the longer you wait, the lesser
probability of recovering the file). Personally, I use O&O UnErase for
purposes such as this.

You can use the trial-version to see whether it is possible to recover the
file. A license is $44.90
