Does Windows XP ship with Dot Net Framework

Can anyone tell me if Windows XP (Service Pack 2) ships witht he Dot Net
Framework. I am developing a web application and need to know if I must
install the framework or if it is installed as part of windows setup?

As stated, it is not shipped with SP2. Lately however you'll find .net 2.0
framework shipped with OEM copies of XP SP2 frrom Dell & Gateway

No, it will be requested as a requirement for installing software that
requires Dot Net and will be either installed from the physical media or
downloaded from the internet.
