Does Windows backup restart computer after doing backup ???

I was doing a backup using the Windows Backup Utility and during the backup
the computer restarted by itself. Was the backup complete??? Is this a nornal
procedure for the backup utility to do ?? How can I tell if the backup is
complete ??

NO, the backup is not normally set to reboot. You need to check the Event
logs so as to see what may have cause the Windows to restart.

The computer keeps rebooting before the backup is complete. I tried it three
times. Twice to an external HD and once to an internal HD. Any one have any
ideas why this is happening????

No, a reboot during backup is not normal.
The backup will not be complete.
