Does W2K allow more network connections than XP?

I have heard from more than once source that an XP machine will only allow
ten
connections at a time from the network. If that is so, how many connections
will
a W2K machine allow??

Same with 2000. Also same with NT. The workstation version of all three
OSs just allow 10.
