does system restore cause you to lose your shortcuts?

Hi!

When I used system restore, I lost all of the shortcuts I had made between
the two dates (the current date and the date I restored it to). Is this what
is supposed to happen?

Thank you so much!

Yes, an SR to an earlier date than when the shortcuts were created will result in
any created after the restore date not being present.

Thank you, Brian. That's terrible news! But it is good to be well-informed
and educated -- which I will be now thanks to you.

Why is it terrible news? How many shortcuts had you made that you
lost?

It should be very quick and easy to recreate any lost shortcuts.

Or use ERUNT instead, and I fully well expect the shortcuts will NOT be
affected. I'm beginning to enjoy some of the advantages of ERUNT over
System Restore, at least in a fair number of cases. :)
