Does not return to "Inbox - Windows Mail"

I am using Vista and when using Microsoft Mail after I open a message and
then close the message, I am NOT returned to the "Inbox - Microsoft Mail".
This is very inconvenient. How can I correct this?

Where does it go back to? Just a blank page? What happens?
