Does not require password on resune with screen saver

My Windows Xp SP2 with all updates, when set to password protect on resume
from screen saver, my work 2-3 times after a reboot and then it does not go
to the password. If I reboot it will work again for a few times. This is
with any of the std windows screensavers with nothing running other than the
std anti virus (actually using Windows One care). Any ideas?
 
It does not appear that this pertains to my issue. My Computer when it goes
on screen saver just does not require the password logon after the screen
saver comes on.
