Does not detect sound hardware.

After reformatting my computer due to a virus, I now have
no sound. It does not detect it at all, even after
installing drivers, unplugging the speakers and then
plugging them back in. Any ideas?
 
Hello

Well an you provide your pc type or model and also your
soundcard type. Maybe you don't have the correct drivers
installed for your soundcard provide that info and one would
be better able to help you
