windows xp does not boot up everytime i turn my computer
on.and when it does turn on after few mins it gives me the
blue screen with an error, but i have not installed any
new hardware or software recently.
when it does not boot, it searches for my hard drive but
can't find it so it asks to insert system disk...
i will greatly appreciate if any one can give me
suggestions or solutions in detail
thank you kindly

It sounds like the boot sector on your hard drive has been corrupted. I
assume you do not have a dual boot system. If you have an old dos disk boot
into dos and type fdisk /mbr this should repair your boot sector. If this
does work boot from your Windows XP cd and use the boot sector repair.
