Does msn 6.2 + XPSP2 with router require upnp to work correctly?

Greetings Paul,

For Remote Assistance, Whiteboard and Application Sharing, definitely.

For the Webcam, not a requirement, but your experience will be better.

For audio support, generally speaking you will need UPnP, but some routers do allow some of
Messenger's tricks to get around this.

For file transfer, if you want a direct (read as fast) connection, UPnP will be needed.

Everything else goes through the server, so UPnP support isn't required for that.
