Does it matter what oem Windows XP CD you have unique product key

Does it matter what oem Windows XP CD you have unique product key. I thought
that was the case but it did not work. I have license windows xp
professional. The copy that i have does not take my stickers' product key.
What should I do.

Did the OEM CD come with the computer? If it did make sure you are not
confusing numbers for letters and vice versa. If it did not come with the
computer, what is printed on the label? What is the make of the computer.
