Does Google Desktop mess with powerpoint files?

I dowloaded and installed google desktop yesterday. SInce then
powerpoint crashes every time I try to save a file and now I cannot
open any powerpoint files on my hard drive

Can you uninstall g desktop?

Can you 'roll back' your computer to an earlier time using system restore.

I uninstalled google desktop and that has solved the problem - which is
a real shame because Googe is a great tool. Allegedly it's possibly
because of plug ins (like Flash Paper) in powerpoint.

There's also a Windows update that caused similar sounding problems for some
(but not all) users.

It may be that this is part of the problem; if so, you might be able to use the
Google toolbar after all.
