Does C# and .NET support SmartCards?

Thanks for reviewing my question. I am starting to use
C# and would like to know if .NET and C# support Smart
Card development? In C#, is it as easy as this:

using SmartCards;

Peter, yes they are supported but only through p/invoke and the Platform
