Does "Automatic name checking" check for full name?

I have a Christina and Christine in my address book and their e-mail IDs are
Christina@etc. and ChrisLim@etc. respectively.

I notice that when I type "Chris", I get both addresses in the list but when
I continue to "Christ", only "Christina@etc." appears. Is it because Outlook
only checks against the E-mail ID of ChrisLim instead of the actual name
Christine?

Dear,
Why don't you write their Name and email id in the display as column in the
contacts folder.
(Delete both christ name from the new mail, cached name pane., and start
over - just send a test message to both christina by choosing the address
from the contact list)

Thanks Anver for your response.
Both Chris's are actually not in my Contacts list. I believe Outlook stores
their e-mail addresses from the first time I sent them both e-mails.

Of course, I can just create Contact entries for them to ensure that both
options are available when I type more than "Chris", i.e. up to "Christin".
I'm just thinking hypothetically that in future, I may have many more names
falling into this category.
