I've been looking all over the internet, does anybody know a FREE
program that extracts audio (into MP3. or WAV.) from DVD's or VOB
files. Please help me.

AFAIK BeSweet doesn't rip these streams off the DVD, it can transcode the
audiostreams. DVD Decrypter should be able to rip these streams when set
to IFO mode.

DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0

Overview:

DVD Decrypter is a free tool which enables you decrypt and copy a DVD to
your PC's hard disk. From there you can choose to watch them with the
likes of PowerDVD and WinDVD or you can re-encode them to MPEG1 (VCD) or
DivX. Advanced functionality can be found in the context menus.

This is not the answer you were hoping for and is therefore somewhat off
topic. Like you, I have posted here a few times asking the same question
but all the suggestions given proved not to be up to the task. In the end I
had to bite the bullet and pay for a program which does the job wonderfully
well and is so easy to use. The download is free and will work on just the
first 5 minutes of any DVD so you get a chance to evaluate it. From there
you must purchase a registration code. The program is DVD Audio Ripper. It
will encode sound tracks to WAV or MP3. So, the answer to your question as
far as I am concerned is - no, there isn't a free one. That is unless
someone out there knows different.
