Does animation time override slide timing in PP2007?

When I set an animation and it goes longer than the time I set for slide
viewing time, the slide goes longer than originally set. Is this something
MS has built in?

Hi

This is the case in all versions

Transition Time = total animation time OR set transition time whichever is
the longer. If this wasn't the case you would never see some animations.

Yes, the slide will run the course of the animation timing. Why would you
want the slide to transition before the animation is complete?

Sandy,
I am taking a class in PP and the directions of setting the animation
time and slide time was confusing because one over rode the other. Thanks for
your input.

Confused no longer
