Does a DV camcorder work in MSN 6.1 as a webcam?

[Going crazy!!]

Because I cannot do webcam, even when the AV tuning wizard
is set up properly? but when I intend to have a webcam
conversation, they CANNOT see me and I don't see my video
picture in the right side bottom, but I do see them.
So how come the AV tuning is showing that everything is ok
but does not work in the application?

I have win XP, Canon ZR 70CM DV camcorder, I have
dissabled the firewall.
Any help would be highly appreciated

p.s. Is there a list where you can read some where if it
is or not supported?
Becuase with my camera came a userguide saying that it
works

It will only work in MSN Messenger 6.1 if you're using the "video conference" option -- it
will not work by just using the "Webcam" (there are two separate video modes within MSN
Messenger 6.x on Windows XP. To use the "Video conference" option, click the Actions menu,
then "Start Video Conference". Note that both sides will need to be using Windows XP in
order to use this.
